Frank M. Culver scrapbook, 1853-1949.

Scrapbook of ephemera compiled by Frank M. Culver. The ephemera ranges from advertising cards, valentines, calling cards, book marks, merit cards, and invitations. Many, though not all of the pieces are Vermont related. As well, there are several pieces relating to class reunions of the St. Johnsbury Academy, Class of 1899. There are also two manuscript items: a small book containing small hair wreaths collected by Harriet Merrick of Waterville, Vermont, and a small booklet of religious sayings written out by Mary Eliza Choate of Underhill, Vermont in 1853.

Frank Munroe Culver was born on May 29, 1879, the son of George M. and Ida Culver. He attended Saint Johnsbury Academy and graduated in 1899. He married Mabel Godfrey on June 3, 1902 and was employed by the Lamoille County Savings Bank until 1920. He became a merchant and owned stores in Stowe, Hyde Park, and Essex, Vermont.
